Kelley Patrick has been an animal lover since she was a little girl. She has a fond memory of walking the neighborhood dogs when she was only 5 years old. The dogs she walked inluded a German Shepherd, a Great Dane, an Irish Setter, and a Newfoundland. (Obviously, she had a thing for big animals!) As an adult, Kelley has continued to surround herself with animals. She spent 7 years as a veterinary technical assistant at Riverside Veterinary Hospital. Experience includes the handling and treatment of dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, mice, birds, snakes, iguanas, and other reptiles. She has had experience in the birthing process and has nursed many orphaned kittens and puppies. At home, she enjoys the company of 4 cats, an African Grey, and a Senegal Parrot. A big supporter of spaying and neutering, neighborhood cats don't get a break, just a trip to the vet.
